Prayer

A Prayer for Anxiety Before Bed

Name the fear beneath racing thoughts and entrust tomorrow to God.

Relaxed hands beside an open Bible

Name the fear beneath racing thoughts and entrust tomorrow's decisions to God's care.

Pray tonight

God, anxiety is making tomorrow feel present tonight. You know the specific fear behind these thoughts. Help me name it honestly and decide whether any safe action is needed now. If action can wait, help me write it down and return to it with daylight and support. Train my attention toward what is true without asking me to deny what is difficult. Thank you for every sign of grace that existed alongside today's uncertainty. Give me courage to contact a trusted person or qualified professional when I need more help. I do not ask for a guaranteed feeling or outcome; I ask for your presence, wisdom, and peace as I take the next faithful step. Amen.

Read and reflect

Read Philippians 4:6-9 in BibleAlong's Scripture reader. Notice the movement of the whole passage before returning to the concern you named in prayer. Let the biblical context guide your trust rather than treating one line as a guarantee.

Reflect before resting

  • What am I ready to place in God's care tonight?
